The Lavenders
Located in the leafy surroundings of Cobham, Surrey, this site was originally home to a dilapidated building unsuitable for family living. With an opportunity for redevelopment, the generous plot was divided into three neighbouring properties. Inspired by Georgian architecture, each home was carefully designed to suit its specific plot, balancing traditional elegance with modern living.
We worked closely with the developer from the feasibility stage through to the submission of the planning application. While planning approval was pending, we worked proactively at risk, collaborating with the contractor and subcontractors on the technical design. This ensured that once permission was granted, construction could begin without delay. Throughout the build, we remained involved to support a smooth process from start to finish.
The architectural design incorporates brick, render, and stonework, complemented by carefully planned landscaping to create a timeless look. Inside, grand entrance halls with sweeping staircases lead to well-proportioned rooms with carefully considered period-inspired details. High ceilings and large windows flood the interiors with natural light, enhancing the sense of space while maintaining a warm and welcoming feel.
These homes blend effortlessly into the surrounding streetscape, preserving the area’s character while providing comfortable, modern living.
