We are a RIBA-chartered architectural practice located in the heart of the Surrey Hills, specialising in creating bespoke spaces for homeowners and developers. Our passion lies in the details, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design that bring each project to life.
Every project begins with a fresh perspective. We carefully consider the materials, how they are crafted, and how every element integrates harmoniously. Sustainability is at the core of our decision-making process, ensuring environmentally conscious solutions. Our creative process is hands-on and collaborative, involving rigorous exploration of concepts and thorough testing to ensure the best results. Unlike other architectural practices, we take a proactive approach during the construction phase, maintaining a close connection to every stage of the build.

The Team
Nick, Director
Nick studied Architecture at London Southbank University, followed by Kingston University. Having completed his studies, he worked at prestigious London and Surrey Architectural Practices leaving his most recent Director position to start Morph Design Studio Ltd in 2020. Nick has a passion for detail and for creating light-filled homes whose identities are shaped by the experiences of those who commission them and the context to which they are set. A career highlight for Nick was back in 2011, when he was chosen as part of a select team to design the Pont Rouge Business Centre, Geneva.
Working in a creative studio in the Surrey Hills, Nick strives to deliver projects that enhance the landscape and push the boundaries of design and function.
Away from the studio, Nick’s days revolve around his family, motorsport and golf.
Oliver, Project Architect
After studying at Kingston University and London Metropolitan University, Oliver recently graduated from University of Westminster. He has worked across all stages, focusing primarily on residential projects and listed buildings. Bringing a wealth of experience from past projects, Oliver thrives working closely with clients to understand and develop their ideas, exploring detailed design and instilling sustainability.
Outside of work, Oliver can be found on a squash court or travelling around the world, enjoying Architecture through sketching and photography.
Ells, Project Architect
Eleanore joined Morph Design Studio in 2021, bringing with her extensive experience in delivering large and small-scale residential developments. Since then she has worked on a number of private home projects across all RIBS work stages. Eleanore enjoys resolving complex design issues and working closely with her clients to ensure they receive a tailored one-to-one experience.
In her spare time Eleanore would ideally be on the slopes, however given England’s predominantly flat landscape, opts to spend time on her yoga mat and exploring the countryside with her dog, Arty
Tammy, Architectural Designer
Tammy recently joined Morph Design Studio as an Architectural Designer, bringing a wealth of expertise to the team. Tammy has extensive experience in the residential sector, spanning large-scale estates to bespoke one-off homes. Tammy’s passion for design shines through her collaborative approach, working closely with clients to craft tailored design solutions that meet their unique needs.
Outside the office, Tammy embraces her South African roots, chasing the sun and enjoying outdoor adventures with her family. Whether exploring the Surrey Hills on a run or soaking up nature, she thrives in the great outdoors.
Katie, Architectural Assistant
Katie joined Morph Design Studio in 2023 after completing her architectural studies at the University of Bath. Completing a Passivhaus Designer qualification, she focuses on environmental and low-carbon design as a Part II Architectural Assistant. Katie has worked mostly in the residential sector and on listed buildings and has additional experience working within a construction company.
Katie enjoys drawing, painting, reading and catching up on TV in her spare time. She likes to keep active outdoors and to take care of her houseplants and terrariums – her collection totalling around 100!
Miguel, Architectural Assistant
Miguel joined Morph Design Studio in 2022 as a Part II Architectural Assistant. He completed his academic training at University of Kent and Kingston University, where he gained experience in multiple disciplines in graphics, casting, steel welding, model making and print making. Prior to joining Morph, Miguel acquired valuable experience within the residential sector; working on high-end residential and commercial projects across London and the UK.
Outside of working hours, Miguel is very active with his fitness, he enjoys craft making and capturing an essence of character with portrait photography.
Charlie, Studio Manager
Charlie joined as our Studio Manager, taking on the role of the ‘go-to’ person to help drive the business as well as support and manage operations. An integral part of Charlie’s role is to resource plan and manage workflow, optimising team, and individual capacity/utilisation, ensuring work is delivered on time, and ultimately to client satisfaction. She joins with over 15 years experience working in prime residential estate agency, with a keen interest in following design projects all the way from brief/concept to delivery. A creative thinker at heart, Charlie is a proactive problem-solver who has a real drive and passion for client care and efficiency.
In her spare time, Charlie is passionate about the Surrey Hills; regularly exploring the area with her dogs, as well as an obligatory trip to Badminton Horse Trials each year.
Willow, Outdoor Events Manager
A new addition to the studio, Willow brings energy and enthusiasm to the team. Working well with Winston, she is a dab hand at finding natural light spots and clearing any unwanted snacks.
Both Willow and Winston enjoy their breaks, exploring the local heath or chasing tennis balls in the garden.
Winston, Security
Alongside Nick, Winston has been here since the beginning. He brings calm to the studio, ensuring focus is maintained on productivity in the workplace.
With a keen interest in interior design, he regularly surveys the office for the best sunlight throughout the day, closing his eyes for contemplation.
Our Services
We’re a friendly and knowledgeable bunch here at Morph Design Studio. From first contact, we’ll identify what you need from us and we will gently guide you through the process of realising your project. We’ll collaborate with you and communicate throughout the process to ensure you understand exactly what’s happening with every stage of your project - from design through to completion. We have set out below an outline of the processes we’ll go through to complete your scheme. This is a brief description and is intended as a guide only to give you a better idea of the process and how we are involved.
Whilst we offer a complete design and project management service, some clients prefer to appoint us for only a number of these stages. We will discuss this at the beginning of our contact and incorporate our level of involvement into the brief prior to appointment.
xvIntro & Design Brief xxx
It all begins with an idea. Morph Design Studio will work with you to develop a design brief and explore the potential of the property. We will talk you through any initial ideas we may have and answer any questions.
Feasibility & Concept Design
We’ll review our initial conversation and sketch layout options to highlight all of the options you have along with the budget allowance. We will also carry out a measured survey of the property and its surroundings, allowing us to produce an accurate set of drawings.
Developed Design & Planning Submission
Following on from the briefing, we will prepare a set of scale drawings reflecting the range of ideas discussed. We will prepare and submit the planning application, liaising with the council as needed throughout the process. Our extensive experience will help facilitate a smooth planning experience.
Detailed Design & Building Regulations
We will produce detailed technical drawings, consulting with you to ensure the design meets your needs. We will then submit to building control and manage the approval process. As part of this service we can assist you in appointing other consultants, for example the structural engineer or party wall surveyor.
Project Management
Here at Morph Design Studio we appreciate a building project can be a daunting prospect. We can be responsible for leading, managing and overseeing the entire architectural project(s) on a day-to-day basis from the Schematic Design/Conception phase through to Design Development, Construction Drawings, Bidding/Contract Negotiation, Construction Administration and Closeout phases. We can source, manage and appoint the specialist team required to ensure you have a problem free design/construction journey with one point of contact at MDS throughout the entire process.
Technical Design & Specification
We offer interior architecture and design for a high spec finish. We can produce further detailed information integrating specialist glazing components, floor finishes, joinery and bespoke staircase design as required.
Tender
We will help you make an informed choice on an appropriate contractor. We maintain a selective tender list of contractors specialised in the local area, who we have experience working with on site. We will prepare tender documentation and appraise their quotes.
Construction
Morph Design Studio facilitates the implementation of the design by administrating a contract between you and the contractor. Amongst a wide array of services, this will include undertaking site visits to monitor the quality of construction and handle any on-site queries from the contractor.
Hand Over & In Use
The best bit! Our team are on-hand following completion of your project and will ensure as-built drawings are accompanied by a detailed hand over with the relevant specialists. We facilitate and issue final defects and certificate.
